FUNCTIONS

The Office of the Deputy Director of Education (Women) is one of the biggest establishments that has under its control 15 Govt. Middle schools, 17 Govt. High schools, 52 Government Primary schools and 69 Aided & Private schools.

The Deputy Director is the Head of Office of the establishment as well as the Inspecting Officer of the above schools.

Being the Head of Office and Inspecting officer of the above said schools, She/he deals with both the service matters related to the teaching/non-teaching staff and also all academic matters pertaining to the schools. As an Inspecting Officer, she/he conducts surprise and periodical visits/checks to both Govt. and Private schools. She/He is responsible for all educational activities in respect of all educational institutions under his/her control for better prospects.

Establishment Section
  1. This section deals with all establishment / service matters in respect of all teaching and non-teaching staff working under the control of  Deputy Director Education(Women) such as maintenance of service book, posting,  probation, confirmation, promotion, senior scale, leave, pension, ACP/MACP proposals, furnishing of particulars for promotion, rationalisation, regularisation etc.
  2. All disciplinary cases.
  3. Court cases.
  4. Audit.
  5. Administration of Endowment Fund in the schools.
  6. Correspondence relating to Compassionate appointment.
Accounts Section
  1. This section deals with preparation of all kinds of bills including Pay/Wages/TA/MR/LTC/GPF/T.F, Water, Electricity bills, and arrear bills etc. for the Middle schools under the control of Deputy Director of Education (Women) and maintenance of PBR, BDR, BTR, LTC, TA, Contingent audit registers, pertaining to the staff of all teaching and non-teaching staff under the control of Deputy Director of Education (Women) and maintenance of Govt. and Non-Govt. Cash books.
  2. Dealing of all correspondence and preparation of annual  Budget and related matters.
  3. Dealing with all Land acquisition relating to all High, Middle and Primary schools under our control.
  4. Verification of GPF advance/withdrawal application of the schools under the control of Deputy Director of Education (Women) and forwarding of GPF proposals.
  5. Proposal for maintenance / repair / renovation / new construction of School Buildings
Academic Section
  1. This section deals with upgradation,  opening of new schools, bifurcation of new sections / schools in respect of all Govt. Schools under the control of the Deputy Director of Education(Women).
  2. Upgradation, opening, bifurcation of new sections / schools in respect of all Govt/Private and Aided schools under the control of the Deputy Director of Education(Women).
  3. Preparation of Grant-in-aid claim for Aided institutions, age exemptions to under aged students issuing of permission for admission in schools after private study.
  4. Verification of Scholarship proposal, disbursement of scholarship etc.
Stores Section
  1. This section deals with purchase of free supply articles, furniture and other items for Office and School use.
  2. Distribution of Free Supply uniforms, text books, note books, library books and stationery articles.

Admission Criteria:

For admission to L.K.G. classes the minimum age should be 3+ and for UKG classes it should be 4+. At the time of admission birth certificate may be produced or otherwise a declaration from the parents on the date of birth of the child should be obtained.

REDRESSAL OF PUBLIC GRIEVANCES:

In respect of grievances at school level, the HM concerned may be approached at the first instance. After exhausting such sources, the grievances may be represented further to the Inspecting Officer/Controlling Officer for its redressal. Further, the Director of School Education is final Appellate Authority for redressal of any Public grievances of any nature related to school education.

Institution Officers from whom information can be obtained/to whom complaint is to be made at first Officers to be  approached in the event of grievances not looked in to by the officer at col.2 Officer with whom the ultimate redressal lies/Appellate Authority
