Those who have completed 3 years of age on 31st July in the Corresponding year will be admitted to LKG. The student who was born up to 30th August in the corresponding year will also admitted to LKG provided that it is permitted by the controlling officer of the Educational institution concerned.

Those who have completed 5 years of age on 31st July in the corresponding year will be admitted to I Standard. Those students who have passed I to IX standard in other schools except Government Schools in the U.T. of Pondicherry will be admitted in the next class provided that the Transfer certificate has been countersigned by the controlling officer of the school concerned.

Those who passed X standard will be admitted to XI standard in Govt. Higher Secondary Schools on merit basis provided that they have studied continuously for the last 5 years or they have produced residence certificate for having resided 5 years in the U.T. of Pondicherry. The admission to XI standard is also done following the Govt. policy of reservation.
