RECRUITMENT RULES FOR THE POST OF LECTURER (PHYSICAL EDUCATION)

1.	Name of the post	:	Lecturer (Physical Education).
2.	Number of posts	:	36 (Thirty-six) [2002]
3.	Classification	:	Group C (Non-Ministerial, Non-Gazetted).
4.	Scale of pay	:	Rs. 6,500-200-10,500.
5.	Whether selection post or non-Selection post	:	Selection
6.	Whether benefit of added years of service admissible under rule 30 of the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972.	:	Not applicable.
7.	Age limit for direct recruits	:	Between 18 and 32 years Note : (1) The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of application from the candidates in India. Note : (2) In case of recruitment made through Employment Exchange, the crucial date for determining the age limit shall in each case be the last date upto which the Employment Exchange are asked to submit the names.
8.	Educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits	:	Master's Degree in Physical Education of a recognised University.
9.	Whether age and educational qualifications prescribed for direct recruits will apply in the case of promotees	:	Age : No Educational qualification : Yes.
10.	Period of probation	:	Two years (For direct recruits).
11.	Method of recruitment, whether by direct recruitment or by promotion or by deputation / absorbtion and percentage of the vacancies to be filled by various methods	:	75% by promotion failing which by direct recruitment ; 25% by direct recruitment
12.	In case of recruitment by promotion / deputation / transfer, grades from which promotion / deputation / transfer is to be made	:	Promotion from the grade of Physical Education Teachers who have put in five years of regular service in the grade.
13.	If a Departmental Promotion Committee / Recruitment Committee exists, what is its composition?	:	Departmental Promotion Committee / Recruitment Committee for Group-C posts consisting of -
			1)	Secretary to Government (Education)	- Chairman
			2)	Deputy Secretary (Education) / Under Secretary (Education)	- Member
			3)	Director of Education	- Member
