RECRUITMENT RULES FOR THE POST OF POST HEADMASTER GRADE-II / DEPUTY INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS / SCHOOL ASSISTANT GRADE-I

1. Name of the post : Headmaster Grade-II / Deputy Inspector of Schools / School Asst. Gr.I.
2. Number of posts : 65 posts / 7posts / 55 posts respectively
3. Classification : Group-'C' (Non-Gazetted)
4. Scale of pay : Rs.550-25-750-EB-30-900
5. Whether selection post or non-Selection post : Selection
6. Age limit for direct recruits : Between 18 and 35 years.

The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of application from candidates in India (other than Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep).

In respect of posts, the appointments to which are made through the Employment Exchange, the crucial date for determining the age limit will in each case be the last date upto which the Employment Exchange are asked to submit the names.
7. Educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits : I or II class B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. or equivalent degree with not less than 50% of marks and with a degree in teaching of a recognised University or C.A.P.

Experience:
5 years teaching experience as a graduate teacher in High School class in a recogined High School. The qualification regarding experience is relaxable in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection, the competent authority is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
8. Whether age and educational qualification prescribed for direct recruits will apply in the case of promotees : Age will not apply. Educational qualifications will apply as follows; B.A./B.Sc./B.Com or equivalent degree with a degree in Teaching of a recognised University or C.A.P.
9. Period of probation,if any : Two years.
10. Method of recruitment, whether by direct recruitment or by promotion or by transfer / deputation and percentage of the Vacanciesto be filled by various methods : By promotion failing which by direct recruitment.
11. In case of recruitment by promotion / deputation / transfer, grade from which promotion / deputation / transfer to be made : Promotion from the combined seniority list in the cadres of School Asst. Grade-II, Language Pandits Gr.I and Secretarial Asst. with 4 years experience in the respective grades and possessing the educational qualification prescribed in Col. 8 above.
12. If a Departmental Promotion Committee exists, what is its composition? : Departmental Promotion Committee for Group 'C' posts.
13. Circumstances in which Union Public Service Commission is to be Consulted in making recruitment : Does not arise
